About Us
AVERYSHORTHAIRS are Based in a small rural village in Essex, we are a small breeder of British Shorthairs. We pride ourselves on our excellent knowledge and experience of the breed, we are GCCF Registered with our own prefix of AVERYSHORTHAIRS, we are with several shorthair clubs and we also run a group on Facebook for shorthair owners, breeders and enthusiasts.
Jessica holds qualifications in the following areas:
- level 3 NVQ Feline Birthing, Breeding & Development.
- Feline First Aid
- Cattery Management
- Feline Psychology and Behaviour
- Feline Nutrition
Behind the scenes here at AVERYSHORTHAIRS we are a very small, family run breeders and we all have our own parts to play. we are all very involved and hands on with the whole process, from pregnancies, birthing & queening, weaning & litter training, Getting to know our new owners, Chief cuddlers and play time experts.
We have loved the British shorthair since we first laid eyes on them, so much so we do everything in our power to preserve and enhance the breed and conform to the breed standard of true to type shorthairs. All of our cats and Kittens are from our family home and treated as our babies whilst here, sparing no cost on these little fluff balls.

I pride myself in making sure my knowledge and practices are always up to date, so I am always adding to my skill set and learner profile.
I am committed to the welfare of our kittens and their emotional and social well-being and like to make sure that I am providing the very best environment for them always.

We also love to show our Girls & Kittens, in GCCF Shows up and down the country. Its a huge passion that runs alongside what we do, and helps us to understand what we are looking to improve and achieve here at AVERYSHORTHAIRS.
